About The Microcap Minute Global

Last updated: 10 August 2026

US Markets, in a Microcap Minute.

The Microcap Minute Global is a weekly publication that looks at the US equity market from the top down: starting with sector rotation, narrowing into companies showing relative strength, and then putting those companies through a fundamental screen.

The objective is simple. Find where strength is emerging, identify the companies inside it, and give the reader the data needed to study them further.

Each issue follows the same broad process.

1. Start with the US sector map

We begin with Relative Rotation Graphs across the eleven US sectors, measured against the S&P 500.

The objective is to identify sectors where relative strength is improving, strengthening or beginning to turn. The RRG chart, courtesy of StockCharts, gives us two dimensions at once: where a sector stands relative to the index, and whether that relative strength is accelerating or fading.

From there, we decide which sectors deserve a closer look.

2. Build the shortlist

We then run the same relative strength analysis down to individual companies.

The initial universe is deliberately broad. We manually review the names appearing on the company level RRGs before applying a defined set of filters. The screen looks at factors including:

An issue, for example, begins with 64 companies and ultimately produces up to ten names.

3. Look at the numbers behind them

Once the shortlist is established, we look at the businesses themselves.

This includes valuation, profitability, returns on capital, margins, revenue and earnings growth, cash flow, leverage and other fundamental measures. For this, we rely on StockAnalysis.com.

An issue presents these figures company by company rather than reducing them to a single score or ranking. The numbers are there for the reader to study. We do not want to turn a screen into a black box recommendation.

The philosophy

The screen finds the names. The filtering does the rest.

The process has two distinct parts.

The mechanical tests are reproducible: given the same data, they produce the same result.

The first step is different. Choosing which sectors and companies deserve attention requires judgment. The RRG is read by eye, and another investor could reasonably reach a different conclusion.

That is intentional. The Microcap Minute Global is not trying to replace judgment with an algorithm. It is trying to make the search process more disciplined.

What you will find here

US market and sector rotation. Where relative strength is moving across the eleven major US sectors.

Company wide rotation. A defined process for narrowing a broad universe into companies worth studying.

Technical and relative strength analysis. Moving averages, RSI, relative performance, RRGs and market stage analysis.

Fundamental data. Valuation, margins, returns, growth, leverage and other business metrics.

The full working. The screens and figures are shown rather than hidden behind a final score.

What this is not

The shortlist is not a rating. The publication does not issue a buy, sell or hold rating, price target or forecast through this process. Each issue explicitly describes the shortlist as the output of a stated rule rather than an investment recommendation.

It is also not personalised investment advice. Every reader receives the same publication, and the study does not take an individual reader’s circumstances or risk tolerance into account.

The goal is to give you a better starting point for your own further studies.

About Ayush Agrawal

Ayush Agrawal is the author and publisher of The Microcap Minute Global.

The publication is built around a simple belief. A good publication does not need to tell you what to buy. It should help you understand what is worth investigating, and why.

Each issue is designed to leave the reader with the charts, screens and underlying numbers needed to continue the work themselves.

Data and methodology

The publication currently uses StockCharts.com for its Relative Rotation Graphs and StockAnalysis.com for the underlying market and fundamental data. Each issue states that the RRGs are used to determine what gets investigated, while the reported figures come from StockAnalysis.com.

The publication also discloses its affiliate relationship with StockAnalysis.com and states that the commercial relationship does not determine sector or company selection.

For the complete regulatory, source, affiliate and methodology disclosures, see the Methodology and the Disclaimer. How artificial intelligence is used in producing the publication is set out separately in How We Use AI.
